“Capturing Craftsmanship: Videographing the Making of Handicrafts in Jaipur and Agra”

Late August Asha Handicrafts Staff Mr. Allan Almeida and Mr. Manish Waghachoure embarked on a trip to Jaipur and Agra with the purpose of capturing the process of making of handicrafts in jaipur on video. Both cities are known for their rich cultural heritage and the production of beautiful and intricate handicrafts.

In Jaipur, they explored the various markets and workshops where artisans create items such as pottery, textiles, jewelry, and more. The city is famous for its vibrant colors and traditional Rajasthani craftsmanship. On the other hand, Agra is renowned for its exquisite marble inlay work, often seen in making items like marble table tops and decorative pieces.

The purpose of the visit was to research and document the intricate skills and techniques that artisans in these cities use to create unique and beautiful handicraft pieces. It was an enriching experience for them and also a valuable resource for promoting and preserving traditional craftsmanship through their videos.  The videos showcase the artisan product and enable consumers to appreciate and value the products crafted by love and hard work.
