It’s the Season Of Hope & Joy For the Artisans at Asha Handicrafts Association!!!
Christmas is a festive Season of Hope & Joy. It is celebrated every year to commemorate the birth of Christ and celebrate Him coming to Earth leaving His glory to undo the sins of man. During this season families and friends gather together to spend time, exchange gifts and decorate their houses.
Christmas trees are often decorated with a variety of ornaments during this season. The most common ornaments used are angels, stars, baubles and nativity. Angels symbolise good tidings from our Heavenly Father. Baubles come from the Roman tradition of hanging fruits from trees and most importantly nativity ornaments depict the birth of Jesus.
The Christmas star symbolises the star of Bethlehem, the star that led the 3 wise men to baby Jesus. Many months ahead at various craft centres, artisans begin the process of creating delicate, unique paper stars and other ornaments for decoration. The simple, yet elegant piece of craft, a paper Star adds décor and beauty to even the simplest of homes.
These beautiful paper stars are used as hanging accessories on walls, corridors of homes and in balconies, with lights inside that illuminate and reflect the artistic designs. Women artisans work for hours making high quality, handmade and eco- friendly paper stars. The finished product is a result of exclusive artistic creativity and craftsmanship. Every Star covered in glitter, silver, gold, dots and bright colours adds a spark to brighten the Spirit of Christmas.
Light your home with a handcrafted ‘STAR’ made with love at ASHA HANDICRAFTS ASSOCIATION!
